A Woman’s Touch Hosts 2nd Annual Uplifting Art: Bras for a Cause

January 21st - January 22nd, 2011

2010 Uplifting Art: Bras for a Cause sample on ABCD’s homepage is “The Anti-Pink” by Morgan Oldenburg, Lauren Bailey, Jean Tameling and Jayda Thomas

Join the fun on January 21st and 22nd as the highlight of Milwaukee’s winter – Gallery Night in the Third Ward – features the second annual Uplifting Art: Bras for a Cause, benefiting ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis. The event features the inspirations of local artists, businesses, and community members who use bras as a starting point to express the concern, sorrow, supportive love and hope that are all part of a breast cancer journey.

Bras will be judged for originality and emotional impact and will then be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting ABCD’s free one-to-one support services. Take a look at this distinctively creative artwork and join the bidding if you like.

A Woman’s Touch, founded by Ellen Barnard MSSW and Myrtle Wilhite MD, MS, provides resources regarding sexual health including those assisting breast cancer survivors with intimacy concerns.
