ABCD Joins 2011 Sponsorship Roster for First Time

ABCD mentors, families, friends and supporters are once again walking together at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure ®. We hope you will join us! Judy Mindin, ABCD’s Mission Services Manager is our team captain and she’s arranging for a special experience this year.

To join “ABCD Team” – visit the walk registration web site – and click on the race tab. Use the “Find a Team” button to locate our team. Here are two important registration tips:

1. Our team name is “ABCD Team” NOT “Team ABCD”.
2. Be sure to choose “mail my t-shirt” to get your race t-shirt. ABCD will not pick up t-shirts.

Once you have registered, Judy will communicate with you via email to confirm where our team is meeting on race day, as well as answer any other questions.

Race day is always an extraordinary day of inspiration and important fundraising that impacts both our community and the fight against breast cancer nationwide. ABCD and many of our sister organizations have received past funding from the local Komen Affiliate and, of course, some of the most significant research on breast cancer at a national level has been made possible because of money raised at local walks throughout the nation.

This year, ABCD is proud to be a Sponsor of the race as well as a participating team. ABCD chose to be a sponsor this year for two key reasons.

• The Southeast Wisconsin Affiliate of Susan G Komen for the Cure is a collaborative partner with many local organizations that are committed to serving those impacted by breast cancer. In recent years, the Affiliate has focused on broadening access to mammography.

• Over 15,000 people are expected to participate in this year’s walk – 15,000 people who care about breast cancer need to know about ABCD and our immediate impact on those affected by breast cancer, patients and their loved ones.

So put on those walking shoes and grab the sun screen – be part of ABCD Team on September 25th!
