Launch of New Approach to Advanced Stage Support is June 21st

ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis cordially invites you to the inauguration of a new series of Breast Cancer and Education Workshops designed for people affected by advanced stage breast cancer.

Gilda’s Club Southeastern Wisconsin brings us the first program in the series:

This free dinner and workshop offers information on the latest treatment options and side effect management for advanced (metastatic) breast cancer. Women and their loved ones living with the disease will also have the opportunity to share with each other what they have learned about ways to cope with the social and emotional challenges of this diagnosis.

Featured speaker:

Dr. Varsha Shah, Medical Oncologist at Columbia St. Mary’s

Dr. Shah earned her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University, Chicago, in 2001, and completed her residency at Washington University, St. Louis. Her hematology/oncology fellowship was completed at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, where she focused on breast cancer research. She has expertise in treating complex breast cancers, but also treats all types of cancer.

Dr. Shah was recently named a Milwaukee Magazine Top Doc 2012.
