Ways To Donate to ABCD

No one should experience breast cancer alone. We know.

A Variety of Ways to Donate to ABCD

Gifts by check or credit card are always welcome and the quickest way to support ABCD’s breast cancer support services. But there are many ways to be part of “being there” for people affected by breast cancer. All are greatly appreciated.

Tribute Gifts: In Honor or Memory of Someone You Love

If you would like to make a tribute gift in honor or in memory of a loved one, ABCD will be pleased to both thank you for your generosity and forward a tasteful note card to those you indicate.

Gifts of Stock, Gifts from Advisory Funds and other Custodial Accounts.

Gifts of Stock.  Gifts of an appreciated stock in publicly traded companies can be the source of a generous donation and a wise tax planning tool. If you would like to make a gift of such stock to ABCD, before doing so, consult your tax advisor to confirm that you are eligible for the anticipated tax benefits and Contact ABCD so we can assure clear communications with your broker.

Gifts from Advisory Funds and other Custodial Accounts.

Many donors find it easy to direct charitable gifts to ABCD via advisory funds and other custodial accounts.  Frequently, financial organizations distributing gifts on behalf of donors do not provide any information regarding such gifts – who they are from or their purpose.  So that we can thank you properly, please let ABCD know when you are initiating a gift from such funds.

Workplace Giving

ABCD is a proud member of Community Health Charities Wisconsin. Please consider designating us for support in your workplace giving campaign.

In Kind Gifts

Gifts of goods or services that ABCD would otherwise have to pay for are as good as gold. Whether you have office supplies or professional services to share – your in kind gift is essential to assuring ABCD focuses its resources on its mission. Past in kind donations have included photography and graphic design services, as well as filing cabinets and special event auction items. To determine if your in kind donation can be helpful, Contact Us.

Planned Gifts

Planned Gifts. ABCD is grateful that its work is remembered by donors in their financial and estate plans. Planned gifts allow loved ones’ legacies to continue and help ABCD plan for the future. Bequests and beneficiary designations on life insurance or retirement plans are easy, revocable planned gifts. Trusts or gifts of tangible property require more planning. Whether you are exploring the idea of planned giving or simply need to work out the details, we are pleased to speak with you, or your advisor.  Please contact ABCD’s Executive Director for information or assistance. Special Events: Date with a Plate and More.

Each year, around Mother’s Day, ABCD celebrates the power of one-to-one support at one of Greater Milwaukee’s most distinctive palate pleasing parties – Date with a Plate. We also host Face-to-Face, our gathering focused on support and thanks for Mentors and program participants.  And throughout the year we host private gatherings and attend cancer survivorship events where you can learn more about how we are transforming expectations for breast cancer support and be part of our work empowering women and men affected by breast cancer.  To learn more about DWP and other ABCD events, click here.

Third Party Events

ABCD is grateful to community groups, local retailers and civic organizations that choose to support ABCD by sharing proceeds from their own events and promotions from golf outings to t-shirt sales, etc. – at no cost to ABCD. This keeps us mission-focused and helps spread the word of the power of One-to-One.
