National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Dear ABCD Friends,

Today marks the first day of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  It’s a very active time of year for ABCD staff and volunteers; almost every day this month, we are out and about in Southeastern Wisconsin, attending health fairs and/or participating in amazing events hosted by community partners to raise awareness about and funds for ABCD.

While I deeply appreciate this busy month, for so many of us and the people we love, breast cancer is of course 365/24/7.

So today, I’d like to remind you that ABCD’s free, one-to-one services are available at any time, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.  As your feelings, questions, and concerns change, contact us – today, tomorrow, in 5 days, or 5 years.  We are always here to listen.

Perhaps you or someone you know could benefit from being matched with one of our 288 Mentors, breast cancer survivors, caregivers, and women living with metastatic disease who truly understand.  Or perhaps you could use another Mentor; many of our Participants have a few Mentors supporting them.

Here are three easy ways to contact us for support:

  1. Call us 9am – 5pm cst, M-F: 414-977-1780 or 800-977-4121
  2. Fill out this online form and we’ll contact you
  3. Email us: programdept@abcdmentor.org

And please pass along our information to anyone you know who could use our help.  We serve anyone who contacts us, from Wisconsin to Florida, New York to California, Mexico to Africa, and everywhere in between.

You can also always reach me at ellen@abcdmentor.org.  Thank you for believing in our mission

Sincerely,

Ellen Friebert Schupper
ABCD Executive Director
